FIELD WORK EXPERIENCE

Currently PI of DOC/NOAA/NSG (coordinator of the US SE and Caribbean regions) funded project on hatchery production of mutton snapper, cobia and amberjack for growout in offshore cages.

PI and Co-PI in several other grants.

Technical director, Aquauculture Center of the Florida Keys and Snapperfarm Offshore Aquaculture (UM Industry partners).

Over twenty years expreience in marine fish aquaculture world wide, with emphasis on hatchery (maturation, spawning, larval rearing and nursery) growout in cages.

Currently leading the Aquauculture Progam at RSMAS University of Miami and carrying out interdisciplinary research and technology transfer for the developemnt of sustainable aquauculture projects in the US and several countries.
